The Lost Words
All over the country, there are words disappearing from children’s lives. These are the words of the natural world – dandelion, otter, bramble and acorn, all gone. The Lost Words book and resource beautifully reintroduces these words and more.
The rich landscape of wild imagination and wild play is rapidly fading from our children’s minds. Addressing this is an Explorers Pack for KS2–KS3 created by Eva John, celebrating the music, art and natural wonders found in Spell Songs and a set of challenge cards all themed around The Lost Words.
In The Lost Words, you can dip in and use as many of the cards as you like with children to help them think about the world around them in lots of interesting and important ways.
