For this buccaneering campaign, Treasure Your River, we once again joined forces with Hubbub. We invited businesses, residents and organisations situated along the River Avon to combat river litter.
During Treasure Your River, we ran events to clean up littERRR including fishing for hidden treasures with remote control pirate ships and encouraging communities to grab a litter pick and eye patch and climb aboard one of the world’s first recycled plastic fishing punts.
The Rivers Trust independently measured the impact of the campaign using technology such as geotagging litter reduction activities to create a map of the results of the nation’s collective efforts.
