Wind Power: A Best of Bristol film

This virtual fieldtrip is all about wind energy, so why not use it to give your pupils’ knowledge of renewable power a real boost with our google earth lesson!

Use this fascinating virtual fieldtrip to introduce a challenge to your class. Pupils must decide on a suitable location to build a wind farm using Google Earth and create an electronic place mark to illustrate and explain their choice.

Pupils speculate on how geographical features impact sustainable energy sources.

Individuals will produce an annotated Google Earth place mark to show their chosen location and explain why they have chosen it. This is, essentially, a critical thinking/problem solving exercise. Windiest isn’t always best!
