In Wind Farm Debate, children take on stakeholder roles. Initially they work cooperatively to research the pros and cons of installing wind turbines. After which, they participate in a mock planning debate on the subject.

An ‘official’ letter introducing the project and character role cards have been created to help you and your pupils on your way. The resource is accompanied by teachers’ factual notes and lesson plans.

This activity is perfect as a follow up from Sustainable Shaun’s Energy Crisis lesson, or as a standalone lesson incorporating a range of cross-curricular learning objectives.
