Sustrans: Big Street Survey

Be part of something big! Big Street Survey is an exciting resource enabling pupils to investigate the area around their school and create a manifesto on how to make their streets safer and greener.

Working both inside and outside the classroom, children explore what they like and dislike about their neighbourhood, before using their manifesto to lobby decision-makers and electing representatives at a national and local level to make their changes happen. This resource requires children to investigate their local geography and contains plenty of opportunities for cross-curricular learning as well. Big Street Survey is a fun and engaging resource that raises the pupil’s voice and demonstrates what changes they want to see.
