Which city on Earth has the most wildlife and the most nature loving citizens? That was the focus of City Nature Challenge and the Bristol Natural History Consortium.

Our aim was to show the world how amazing the UK is for people and nature by creating an epic contest: to discover and record as much wildlife as possible over four days.

Our lesson plans make the challenge accessible and are curriculum linked, therefore relevant to schools. The resources are appropriate for all key stages and are immensely practical, showing how well technology and learning outside can combine for accelerated learning.

Developing resources which use iNaturalist, an online community for recording wildlife observations and getting help from a global community to identify them, has meant the findings are also usable by researchers, helping conservation efforts across the world!

Hive developed resources for our wildlife citizen science project. With a quick turnaround and excellent quality, curriculum-linked outputs, they really hit the brief; we were thrilled.
